How is it calculated?

The algorithm separately sums the day, month, and year of your birth, reduces each component to a single digit, then sums the three results. If a master number (11, 22, or 33) appears at any stage, it is preserved.

  3. Sum the digits of the birth year
  4. Sum the three results and reduce to a single digit (preserving masters 11, 22, 33)

This method was systematized by Pythagoras in the 6th century BCE at his school in Croton, where he studied the mathematical properties of numbers and their recurring patterns.
