Why doesn't the Goals number match the Expression number?
Because it involves two separate reductions. The vowel sum is first reduced to a digit (Soul Urge) and the consonant sum to another (Personality); those two reduced values are then summed. This produces a different result from reducing the total letter sum directly.
Can the Goals number match the Expression number?
Yes, in certain mathematical cases. If the intermediate reductions of Soul and Personality sum to exactly the same total as the direct reduced letter sum, the results coincide.
Is this number temporary or permanent?
Permanent. It is derived solely from the birth name, so it does not change over the course of a lifetime unless the registered name is changed.
