Frequently asked questions
Should I use the legal registered name or the trade name?
The name clients and the public see: the commercial or brand name. If the legal registered name differs from the name the business operates under publicly, analyze the public name, as that is what generates external perception.
Are articles like "The" or "La" included in the calculation?
Only if they are part of the official commercial name. "The Blue House" and "Blue House" produce different numbers because the first has three additional letters. Use the exact name as it appears in brand materials.
Is the formula different for business names?
